The Raincross Quilters Guild came together Thursday, November 19, 2024 and we brought our stuff to swap!! We brought table toppers and table runners for the annual Swap/Exchange game; so many beautiful items were traded. Thank you to all who came and thanks also to Maria Copak and Fern Fujimoto running the show.

I’m SOOO grateful that the weather has finally turned to FALL! So many things to be grateful for – not just in this season, but every day! I like to start each day with some thought about at least two things that I’m thankful for. You’ll be amazed at how that list grows!!
Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to our rescheduled meeting last month! Unfortunately, it was either cancel the meeting entirely or reschedule. I don’t know about all of you, but the Guild meeting is one of the highlights of the month! There were some pretty amazing Fall and Halloween quilts and other projects shown for our Fall Show and Share.
There are limited spots available for our next retreat at Vina de Lestonac in Temecula – don’t wait too long to sign up and get left out!
Take a look at the pictures from the very special Quilts of Valor presentation at the Goeske. Thank you to all that helped in some way to make this happen! We still have LOTS of quilt tops that need to be quilted. Be a part of this amazing project. Quilting doesn’t have to be on a long arm machine and it doesn’t have to be fancy – we just need to get them done – veterans are waiting!
See you all next time! Until then – Hug a quilter!!

Barbara Filbin is our new Quilts of Valor contact person, and ever-organized. She brought quilts and batting for people to take home. Her report on what she needs from us is found in the Minutes from our Meeting (download to read all the important information). The minutes also contain our announcements and general business from that evening–please read them! We are indebted to our Secretary, Barbara Kaiser, for all she does to keep us informed.

See our Programs Tab (January 2025) for the announcement of the next fabric challenge. More information will be forthcoming…just as soon as we get through our first one. Which brings us to:
Have you finished your Black/White/Pop of Color Challenge? More information can be found on the Programs Tab (December 2024). Hope you finish it!!

And many thanks to our Opportunity Basket ladies, who always make a fine basket. Congrats to Cassandra Gray, who won the basket!
