Manny Caldera led us through a most interesting history of the Singer Company showing us beautiful examples of machines from 1930s-1960s.

He will lead workshop(s) on Featherweight maintenance on Saturday, October 11th at the Victoria Village clubhouse. Cost is $45.00 and a sign-up sheet is available.

Our next Guild meeting will feature Candy Glendening.
She is a talented textile artist who dyes fabric to use in her art quilts, with 40 publications in art quilting magazines, 12 appearances on Quilting Arts TV and 2 feature length workshop DVDs.
At the meeting you will have the ability to sign up for her workshop.

Our meeting this last time was fun and very informative! Manny Caldera gave us an extensive history on Singer sewing machines and Featherweights. Our 50% Challenge Reveal was amazing. There were some pretty old UFOS finished up – what a good feeling to have them off our plates!
I hope you’re all having an amazing end-of-summer – don’t forget to check Road 2 CA classes – the good ones fill up fast!
Enjoy sewing in the air conditioning with your favorite tall cool drink!
See you in September!

This is our newest challenge!
You know that beautiful fabric you bought but it’s too special to use? Remember that wonderful fat quarter bundle that you just don’t have the heart to split up?
Now they’re just sitting in your stash?
- Place at least 1 yard (or pieces that total 1 yard) in a closed paper bag.
- Bring to the September meeting to exchange (no peeking in the bags!).
- Make something using whatever fabric you receive.
- Finished project reveal will take place at the January 2026 meeting.
